Center Street Mebane, NC 27302 (919) 563-9211 TO: Obituary Desk ALAMANCE COUNTY MEBANE -Mr. William Oliver Goodson, 72, 2323 Patrick Drive, Mebane, died Friday, March 15, 2013. He was born on December 11, 1940, in Caswell County, son of the late Oliver and Ariel Phillips Goodson. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Efland. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his wife, Twyla Dawn White Goodson; daughters: Irma Faye Purgason of Burlington, Emma Jeanette Walker of Haw River, Cathy Charlene Hancock of Elon, and Stephanie Nichole Langley of Wilmington; three sisters: Mae G. Suggs, and Dorothy G. Gooch both of Mebane, and Betty G. Chance of Rockwell; 12 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Monday in Faith Baptist Church by Pastor Keith Spake. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 PM Monday prior to the service and at other times at his home.. Walker's Funeral Home of Mebane, 304 W.
