Wesley William Blythe

Wesley William Blythe, 87 of Cedar Grove has gone to be with the Lord and Savior on February 8, 2026. Wesley was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on March 13, 1938 to James William and Opal Gladys Blythe. He attended schools in Georgetown and Paris, Kentucky and went into the Navy in 1956 for a tour of duty. Wesley was a machinist but had many skills and could do most everything. He was a farm boy at heart. He was an assistant Scout leader and loved spending time fishing with his two boys. He was married to the love of his life Beverly for 65 years and moved from Middletown, Ohio to Cedar Grove, North Carolina in 1981. Preceding Wesley in death was his son John Wesley (Cuiying), grandson Aaron Lee, his brother James William Blythe of Hopewell, Virginia and his sister Marietta Noffsinger of Englewood, Ohio. Survivors include his wife Beverly, his daughter Deborah Lynn and husband Steve, son Jeffrey Dale and wife April, grandchildren Heather Calegar (Joe), Mengyao Qu (Yu Wang), Scott Blythe (Morgan), Philip Chase Hartung (Samantha), Quinton Blythe (Chelli), and Wesley Blake Hrtung. Great grandchildren left behind were Wesley Avery Hartung, Robert, Amelia, Dovie and Levi Blythe, Dylan Lee Calegar, Brantly and Milah Trickle and Kali Howington. Wesley loved his family so much and will be missed. Wesley loved going to Pigeon Forge every year with his best friends Delmus and Margaret Brewer. There will be a graveside service for the family with a celebration of life event in the Spring for family and friends.
