Teresa Hrabak Cooper

Teresa Hrabak Cooper, beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on December 12, 1960, Teresa was a compassionate soul who touched the lives of many through her dedication and warmth.

A proud alumna of Chapel Hill High School, embarked on a career that showcased her skills and commitment. She found her professional niche as a loan processor, working at Home Savings and Loan, Triangle Bank, and First Citizen Bank, where she was known for her meticulous work and genuine care for her clients. Teresa also volunteered at North Chatham Elementary School during her children's formative years, offering her time and energy to support their early education.

Teresa’s greatest joy came from her family. She cherished her role as a Nana, relishing moments spent with her granddaughter Mariah Rone and grandson Bryson Totten. She had an extraordinary capacity for love, with a huge heart for animals and a passion for the outdoors, finding solace and happiness at the beach. Teresa often delighted in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sharing meals or watching television with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those she leaves behind.

Teresa is survived by her devoted husband William Cooper; her loving children Justin Cooper and Ashley Cooper; her sister Donna Gates of Chapel Hill, NC; her brother Michael Hrabak of Cary, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Hrabak; mother, Dorothy Hrabak; mother-in-law, Margaret Cooper; sister-in-law, Tracey Santori Hrabak; and brother-in-law, Billy Gates.

Teresa Hrabak Cooper's legacy of kindness, love, and service will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life lived with purpose and affection. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
