Patsy Jean Ray, 93, of Hillsborough, North Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a deep love for those around her.
Patsy was the devoted wife of the late, John "Jack" Ray, a beloved Baptist preacher who faithfully served until his passing. As a minister's wife, Patsy was a constant source of encouragement, grace, and support, faithfully standing beside her husband throughout his ministry and touching the lives of countless people with her gentle spirit and caring heart.
Throughout her career, Patsy worked in the insurance industry and was a dedicated employee of Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She took pride in her work and formed many lasting friendships along the way.
Patsy found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed, quilting, crocheting, and crafting. She treasured her family and had a special love for animals, especially her cherished pets.
A longtime resident of Hillsborough, Patsy's faith, compassion, and dedication to her family left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Cane Creek Baptist Church or to the Orange County Animal Services located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in Patsy's memory.
May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who loved her.
