Patricia Ann Horton

Patricia Ann Horton, 80, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Pat was born in Durham, N.C. to the late John and Lettie Eubanks. During her working years, she worked in customer service and healthcare and had a peaceful retirement where she enjoyed the beach, bingo, cards, horseshoes, books, her chickens, and TV classics like Little House on the Prairie.

Pat is survived by best friend Nancy DeGroat (aka Flossy), with whom she shared a peaceful home and daily life, as well as her daughter, Dinah Davis (Cecil) of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Jeffrey Horton (Kehan), Carla Stallings, and Tara Davis, 5 great grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Snoopy (aka Bumpy).

In addition to her parents, Pat was reunited in peace with her loving husband, Elward Horton, as well as her son, Danny Horton. 

The family will receive visitors for a time of visitation on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Walker’s Funeral Home of Chapel Hill, located at 11680 US Highway 15-501 N, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 141 Parker Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
