Michael Darrow

February 25, 1931 — August 24, 2021

Michael 'Micky" Darrow was born on February 25th, 1931 and was raised in the Hollandale, WI area. He went to be with his Lord from a comfortable sleep on August 25th, 2021. He was the son of Wilford and Marian (Hughes) Darrow. Micky lived a full and beautiful life, spreading smiles and laughter throughout his many adventures. He served in the military for 3 years during the Korean War, where he was an army tank commander on the Germany border and then married his loving wife in 1954. Micky worked various other jobs before developing Royall Furnace Manufacturing in Elroy, WI. He was active within the communities in which he resided, enjoying activities such as softball and darts with his church group and running the theater projector for the local boy scout troop. Micky also enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers, bowling, golfing, and spending time with his family, friends, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A man of positivity, kindness, and jokes galore, he was loved and cherished by many. Micky will be remembered by all for his witty sense of humor and his contagious smile that would light up a room. Survivors include wife Jeanette of Hillsborough, North Carolina; brothers: Donald and Lois (Dodgeville, WI), and Eugene and Millie (Davenport, IA); wife of brother David, Delores (Maomanie, WI); children:Doug (Bulli, New South Wales, Australia), Dave and Becky (Elroy, WI), Dean and Jeannette (Tracey, DA), Dee Ann and partner Kevin Crossett (Hillsborough, NC); grandchildren: Lena, Dakota, Jeff, Stephanie, Hannah, John, Chelsea, Rachel, and Elliott; and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Micky was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and spouses: William and Betty, Robert and Mary, David, and Jerry, and sisters: Barbara and MaryLou. A funeral service/celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date in both NC and WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (http://act.alz.org/donate).
