Kenneth Wayne Blalock, 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born on July 1, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kenneth was the beloved son of the late James LaVerne Blalock and Dorothy Tatum Blalock. He spent most of his life in Alamance County, where he was deeply rooted in the community. Kenneth grew up attending Tabernacle Baptist Church and graduated from Eastern Alamance High School in 1977.
After high school, Kenneth founded Blalock Painting. Through years of dedication, he became a well-known and respected professional painter, admired for both his skill and work ethic. On September 12, 1995, Kenneth married the love of his life, Beverly Dawkins Blalock, and together they recently celebrated 30 years of marriage.
A golf enthusiast, Kenny found great joy on the course, playing whenever his body allowed. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time helping out at Quaker Creek Golf Course.
Kenny is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Blalock, of the home; his children, Jeffery Hutchens and his wife Tammy, Everette Blalock, and Whitney Dail and her husband Joseph; his brothers, Michael Lee Blalock and his wife Debbie, and John Mark Blalock and his wife Linda; and his three cherished grandchildren, Cheyanne Hutchens, Mazey Blalock, and Hamden Dail, who will miss Paw Paw’s Saturday morning cookie deliveries the most.
No formal services are planned, as Kenny requested.
Walker’s Funeral Home, Mebane is honored to serve the Blalock family.
