John Brockwell

HILLSBOROUGH -Mr. John Luchen Brockwell, 76, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in Duke Medical Medical Center. He was educated in the Orange County Schools, a veteran of the Korean War, and retired from the City of Durham. Surviving are his wife, Shirley McCormick Brockwell, four daughters, Elaine B. Berry, Cedar Grove, Melissa B. Davis (Anthony), Mebane, Vicky B. Cox (Lee), Oxford, and Cindy B. Medlin (John), Hillsborough; one son, Michael Brockwell (Carolyn), Cedar Grove; 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and James W. Brockwell, two sisters, and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday in Wayside Baptist Church by Pastor Brad Williams. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
