Jackie Lawrence Penland

Jackie M. Penland of Hillsborough, 04-22-1955, died unexpectedly on the morning of August 26 2021. Born in the mountains of NC but raised along with his 4 older brothers in Orange County. Jackie was a wonderful husband of 43 years to Karen Coble Penland and father to his two daughters Heather Penland of Efland and Angela Penland of Hillsborough. He also doted on his two grandchildren Tyler and Cody Burkhead. Jackie is also survived by his 4 brothers, William Penland (Connie) of Roxboro, David Penland of Hillsborough, Ray Penland of Hillsborough and Paul Penland (Elizabeth) of Efland along with a slew of nieces and one nephew. Visitation is Monday August 31 from 1:00-2:00pm at Walkers Funeral Home in Hillsborough with graveside service following at 2:30pm at Little River Church. The Penland family would like to thank the Sheriffs, Hwy Patrol, EMT's and all those who assisted during this difficult time.
