Hunter Lee Hatch, “Honey Bun”, 3, of Mebane, became God’s newest angel on May 7, 2025. He was born on October 20th, 2021 at 10:40pm in Chapel Hill.
Starting from the day he was born, Hunter lit up our lives with the sound of his laugh and the brightness of his smile. Not a day went by where he didn’t spread his joy and his love with everyone he met.
Always brave, energetic, funny, a mischievous and a loving little boy, Hunter was a spitting image of his parents. With his Daddy’s personality and his Mommy’s looks, it couldn’t be denied whose baby he was.
Hunter enjoyed riding his dirtbike around the yard with his big brother, and taking a family ride on the Harleys. It never failed, he always fell asleep riding on the front with his daddy. He loved helping his daddy in the shop by getting dirty with his tools and he could never turn down a day at the park with his friends.
During the week, he spent his mornings playing with his Gigi and Pawpaw at their house. Taking occasional Walmart trips, always coming home with a new toy. On weekends he stayed with his Nana. They loved exploring around town, walking or riding his favorite bike, or just hanging out at the house watching Blippi or Grizzy. Hunter never turned down the chance to go hang out with his Mawmaw, Pawpaw, and aunts. They loved to explore around on the family Kubota.
Hunter’s favorite person was his Mommy. No matter the time or the place, they were side by side. He’ll always be Mommy’s Honey Bear. His hugs and kisses were the thing that kept her going.
Hunter is survived by his parents; Kaitlyn and Ray, and his big brother; Brantlee. His grandparents; Denise Dixon, Brittney Stuart, and Michael Hatch. His Great Grandparents; Dianne and Neal Brooks; Donald and Sheila King. Aunts; Stormy Stuart and Lajoan Stuart. Uncles; Mike King and Dawson Laws. Followed by countless loving family members and friends.
He was met in heaven by his pawpaw Bobby Hatch with open arms.
Honey Bun is loved by so many, and he will always hold a place in our hearts. He will always be our sunshine on a rainy day. He was a light in everyone’s life.
