Gladys Mae Chapman

Gladys Chapman, 87, of Hurdle Mills, NC passed away on April 20, 2021. She was born in Gastonia, NC. Gladys leaves behind daughters Michelle McCormick (Jim) of the home, Sherry Combs (Mike) of Efland and son Lamar Chapman (Amanda) of Hillsborough. Gladys also leaves behind two daughters-in-law Darlene Chapman of Hillsborough and Cathy Andrews of Roxboro. Mrs. Chapman is survived by (9) loving grandchildren, (20) great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donovan P. Chapman; infant son, Timothy Chapman; sons, Ronnie Chapman and Donnie Chapman; mother, Gertrude Turner; brother, Leonard Wooten; sister, Mable Turner; grandson-in-law, Ted Latta II and step great grandchild P.J. Ezell. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Walker’s Funeral Home in Hillsborough. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Union Grove UMC Cemetery.
