A cherished husband to Wanda Terrell, Geryl’s life was marked by his love for family, friends, and the joys that life brings. Throughout his years, he garnered a reputation not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his genuine spirit and kindness towards others.
Geryl's early years in Durham served as the backdrop for a life rich with experiences and growth. He pursued his interests and passions with fervor, ultimately shaping a legacy to be remembered by many. His later life in Myrtle Beach brought him tranquility and the soothing embrace of nature, where he cherished the moments spent with his loved ones.
Geryl is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Terrell; daughter Sharon Terrell; 6 grand kids and 5 great grandchildren; brother Richard (Donna) Terrell, numerous nieces and nephews who provided unwavering support and companionship throughout their journey together. The impact of his life will not soon be forgotten, as he leaves behind memories etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his son Billy Terrell; his twin sister and brother; as well as his beloved parents.
His passing is a profound loss for his family and the community, leaving a void that will be felt deeply. Geryl Ollin Terrell’s life was a testament to the values of love, integrity, and resilience. He will be remembered fondly for the joy he brought into the lives of others.
A burial service will take place on March 2, 2026, at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 3216 Orange Grove Road, Hillsborough, NC, with the service at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather in remembrance of Geryl as they celebrate his life and legacy.
