George Wayne Young

George Wayne Young, 68, of Burlington, NC passed away on March 15, 2023, following an illness. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Shields Young, brother Harold Young, Jr., sister-in-law Annette Wieder, uncles, aunts, and many, many beloved nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Harold Young, Sr., brother Steve Young, long-time companion Sue Riddles, and her son Joshua.

George loved UNC and the Tarheels, sports of just about any kind, and nothing provided him with more pleasure than a ride on one of his Harley-Davidsons. There will be a visitation at Walker Funeral Home 204 N. Churton, Hillsborough, NC from 3-5 on Saturday, March 18th. A graveside burial will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, March 19th .
