Frances Underwood

Lorine Frances Underwood Bishop, 80, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Hillsborough, NC.

Frances was born on December 26, 1945 in Wake County, NC, to Horce Bishop and Lois Jones Bishop.Frances worked as the Head Custodian at Enloe High School for several years. Frances is survived by sons: James Underwood, Darryl Wayne (Trudy) Underwood, Thomas Underwood, and Matthew Underwood; daughters: Mary Peace and Joyce (Sidney) Morrell; sister, Marie Cash; brother, Joe (Faye) Bishop; cousin, Elizabeth (Juan) Leiva; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Frances is preceded in death by sister, Lynn Barker; Ex-husband, James Underwood Sr. ;brother-law-in, Michael Peace, and; sister-in-law, Teresa Wagner Underwood.

The Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, February 13, 2026 at New Sharon Church Cemetery in Hillsborough, NC.

Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough, NC.
