Frances Ann Hicks Mace

Frances Ann Hicks Mace went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2025. 

In early life, Frances attended Kroft Business College, earned an Associates degree in business, and then worked as a personnel manager for Unifi Inc., among other companies. Later in life, she became an enthusiastic softball coach and at home manager for her four girls and husband. Due to her spunk, straight talk, love, family dedication, and generosity, she will truly be missed. 

Frances was a dedicated mother to her four surviving daughters, and a loving Nanna to her four surviving grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Albert Hicks, mother, Frances Mayes Hicks McAllister, and ex-husband, Robert Payton Mace. She is survived by her brother Joe (Mary); her daughters, Kimberly, Kari (Jeff), Robyn, and Rebecca (Heath); grandchildren, Makenzy (Robyn), Tucker (Kari), Braxton and Easton (Rebecca). 

The family will receive visitors at Walker's Funeral Home in Mebane, NC from 6 - 8 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
