Doris Bowden

Doris Robinson Bowden (72) of Chapel Hill, died March 17, 2013 at UNC Memorial Hospital after a brief illness She was a native of Hillsborough NC and was retired from University of Chapel Hill. She is survived by; son Darrell Bowden (Kathy), daughters Carol Inscoe (Lathan), Cheryl Barbour (Donnie); brothers Johnny Robinson (Francis), Neil Robinson (Carolyn), Rickey Robinson (Ruth) and sister Gail Sain (Eddie) Grandchildren, Caroline Wilson (TJ) Skyla Higginbotham (Travis), Crystal Parker, Celia Mullins (Justin), Jesse Bowden, Luke Turner and Joy Turner; seven great grandchildren, Alexi Bowden, Gavin and Ian Higginbotham; Madilyn and Raelyn Parker; Drayton and Brynnan Wilson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William Monroe and her parents John and Loyce Robinson There will be a memorial service officiated by Pastor Ernie Keck and Pastor Johnny Godair at Walkers Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, NC on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 2:00 pm.
