Debra Jean Cannada

Debra Jean Cannada, age 52 passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Duke Hospital.

She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone. She loved Jesus, her family and all animals (which she fed most of them). She graduated from Orange High School. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church and loved all of her church family. She was formerly employed in childcare services.

She leaves behind her mama, Jean Barbee Cannada, several aunts, uncles & cousins. She also leaves a host of life long friends and a special cousin, Janet.

She is preceded in death by her daddy, Lester Cannada, her paternal grandparents C.W. and Gina Cannada. Her maternal grandparents Julian & Lucille Barbee and a very special aunt Joyce Barbee all of Hillsborough.

She will be greatly missed by her family, church family, friends and former coworkers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 @ Wayside Baptist Church, Hillsborough, NC

Visitation 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Funeral Service 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Brad Williams.
Burial following service @ church cemetery.

Flowers are acceptable or donations be made in her honor to Wayside Baptist Church.
