David Lawrence Beaver

Mr. David Lawrence Beaver, 78, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Peak Resources in Graham, where he was cared for and had lived for the last year.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 1, at Walker’s Funeral Home in Mebane. The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. until the time of the service, and at other times at Terri’s home.

Mr. Beaver was born in Person County, NC, on November 1, 1947, the son of the late James Lawrence Beaver and Martha Josephine Childrey Beaver. Following his retirement, David enjoyed playing golf, fishing, playing poker, or shooting pool. But most of the time, you could find him spoiling his grandchildren, being their chauffeur for them and their friends. Many weekends were spent at the lake with his camper and pontoon boat, often working on one or the other.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Dunn Beaver, brothers, Gerald Beaver and Clint Perkins. Surviving are his children, Terri Beaver, Joel Beaver, and Tanya Beaver Bautista (Juan), sisters Evelyn Beaver Dickey (Freddy) and Sylvia Beaver Whitfield (Rick), eight grandchildren, and three great-grandsons, as well as a host of extended family, nieces, and nephews.
