Cynthia Barbour Hamm

Cindy passed away after battling COPD and congestive heart failure. She was preceded in death by her husband Tony Curtis Hamm, parents Robert O’Brine & Barbara Ann Barbour, and brother Robert O’Brine Barbour, Jr (Brine).

Cindy is survived by children Dalton Hamm & fiancée Shelley Allen of Mebane; Libby Hamm of the home; Tammy Mishoe (Will) of Timberlake, NC; Tony C. Hamm II of Orange County, NC; sister-in-law Sarah Hamm of Raleigh, NC; niece Cheyenne Vaughn (Justin) of Cedar Grove, NC; nephew Michael Sykes of High Point, NC; along with a host of great nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Cindy worked for the past nine years at ABB, formerly known as GE of Mebane. Before that she worked at Nortel.

Cindy loved riding motorcycles, playing pool throughout her life, and spending time on the lake with her family. She made friends wherever she went. Cindy always had a bottle of Mountain Dew and a pack of Marlboro in her hands.

Cindy was a member of Central Baptist Church in Mebane, NC. In the past, she participated in the Ladies Helping Hands Ministry of CBC.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Walker’s Funeral Home in Hillsborough. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Walker’s Funeral Home, with burial following at Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Mebane, NC. Walker’s Funeral Home of Hillsborough is assisting the family.
