Carl Joseph Hartlieb

Carl Joseph Hartlieb, 77 of Mebane, North Carolina died at home on the 26th of September after a battle with cancer.

He was born in Sandusky, Ohio, December 2, 1946 to Joseph and Dorothy Hartlieb. Carl was raised in Sandusky and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School before joining The United States Navy to start his career of 22 years.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janet and their three children David Hartlieb of Mebane, Christine (Mark) Ervin of Mebane, North Carolina and Joseph (Julia) Hartlieb of Cape Coral, Florida . Carl also had four grandchildren, Brooke, Sadie, Lucy, and Charles and one great grandchild, Griffin . Carl is also survived by many loving family members, including sisters, a brother, many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends and neighbors.

He will be celebrated at a mass at 12 o’clock on Saturday, 12 October at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 216 Governor Burke Rd in Hillsborough, North Carolina. There will be a reception to follow.
