HILLSBOROUGH - Brenda Copeland Thompson, 65, died Sunday, June 23, 2013. She graduated from Orange High School and Croft Business College. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was a loving mom , grandmother, and sister. Surviving are her daughter, Molinda Thompson, Hillsborough, her son, Shayne Thompson (Tracy), Hillsborough, her sister, Pam C. Murdaugh (Marshall), Mebane, two brothers, Steve Copeland (Karen), Hillsborough, and Stanley Copeland (Jackie), Burlington, and two grandchildren: Cameron and Jacob Thompson. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruby and Roy Copeland, and one sister, Kathryn C. Hester. Visitation will be 12-1:30 PM Wednesday in New Sharon United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday in the church by Pastor Jeff Nash. Burial will be in the church cemetery. www.walkersfuneralservice.com
