Bobby Lee Sechrist

Bobby Lee Sechrist, age 84, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, in Granville County, NC.

Bobby Sechrist was born on December 12, 1941 in Durham, NC to Clarence Edward Sechrist and Doris Donnell McBroom Sechrist.

Bobby's imagination was endless and he would tell anyone about the farm he wanted to build with a house and pond on it. Bobby loved to go on activity outings to the State Fair and attend Durham Bulls ballgames. He enjoyed his many wrist watches and would wear them on both arms. Bobby had a deep love for southern food like fried chicken and banana pudding. Bobby loved all western movies, especially with John Wayne.

Bobby is survived by brother, Dennis (Carol) Sechrist of Hillsborough, NC; niece, Melissa (Brad) Allison of Hurdle Mills, NC; nephew, Stephen (Andre) Sechrist of Cleveland, OH; great-nephews: Logan Allison and Ethan Allison; and great-niece, Ella Paes.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Doris Sechrist; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Sechrist.

A private graveside service will be held to honor Bobby.
