Beverly Morris Emory, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026. Born on February 12, 1959, She was a lifelong resident and a native of Orange County. She was the daughter of late Henry J. Morris and Shirley Cole Morris.

Beverly’s life was marked by dedication and commitment. A graduate of Orange High School, she went on to earn a degree in criminal justice, a testament to her steadfast pursuit of knowledge and service. Her career spanned over forty years working for the state, where she contributed diligently until her retirement. Throughout her professional journey, Beverly was known for her unwavering work ethic and her genuine care for those around her.

Outside of her career, Beverly was truly content in the comfort of her home. She had a deep affection for her cats—her cherished fur babies Bell, Sophie, and Gracie—and was a passionate fan of car racing, particularly a die-hard supporter of Rusty Wallace. These interests brought her immense joy and connected her with a community that shared her enthusiasm.

Beverly personal life was rich with love and meaningful relationships. She was married to her love, Joseph Lee Emory, a partnership she held dear and treasured throughout her life. Her family was a source of great pride and comfort. She is survived by her stepmother Earlene Morris and brother Duane Morris and wife Pam, two nieces Tracy Young and her husband JD, Kayla Salvatore and her husband James, along with her great-niece Anya Young and great-nephew Slade Salvatore, her stepdaughter Paige McKinstry and her husband Ariel, her granddaughter Heather McKinstry. These family members remain living testaments to her enduring influence and affection.

Beverly’s legacy is one of dedication to duty, love for family and friends, and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as a woman of strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

As we remember Beverly Morris Emory, we honor a life well-lived—one that touched many lives and left a lasting imprint on the community she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
