Ann Queen

Ann Queen, 72, of Hillsborough, NC, passed away on September 25, 2016. A family service was held at Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough September 29. Pastor Buddy Wright officiated. Ann was born in Durham on November 28, 1943. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and continued on to receive a nursing degree from Watts. Ann worked as a nurse at Brookshire Nursing Center before retiring. Ann is survived by son Jason Queen (Melissa) of Butner, N.C., daughter Carrie Edwards (Jeff) of Fuquay Varina, N.C., granddaughters Taylor Queen and Jacey Edwards, grandsons Chase Edwards and Colten Edwards, sisters Rita Stephens of Durham, N.C., Paulette Jolly (Larry) of Mebane, N.C., and Gaye VonCannon (Steve) of Mebane, N.C., a brother Roger Stephens of Hillsborough, N.C. and family and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her parents Pete Stephens and Dorothy Freeman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hospice.
