Aeden Jeris Solomon

August 18, 2011 — November 3, 2025

Aeden Jeris Solomon, 14, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Duke University Hospital after courageously battling a rare form of cancer. Though his time with us was far too short, his life was full of light, laughter, and love.

Born in San Diego County, California, Aeden was the cherished son of Brentton and Melissa Solomon and the adored “twin” big brother of Adelynn. From the moment he arrived, Aeden had a gentle spirit that filled every room he entered. He was kind, curious, and funny — a sweet soul with just the right hint of mischief.

Aeden loved Legos, roller coasters, video games, and anime, but most of all, he loved being with his family. He was a talented musician who found joy and confidence through his baritone saxophone, proudly playing in the school band. Though illness kept him homebound, Aeden remained close with his friends from Eastern Alamance High School — especially his best friend and steadfast companion, Skye Folsom, who stood by his side through every step of his journey.

He also leaves behind his faithful dog and popcorn pal, Noelle, who misses her boy every bit as much as we do.

Aeden was preceded in death by his grandparents Gloria Solomon, and Matthew and Nancy Fulk. He is survived by his parents, Brentton and Melissa Solomon; his sister, Adelynn Solomon; his grandfather, Carlton Solomon; his aunts, Lakesha and Melanie Solomon; his cousins Kailah, Bri, Raegan, Carson, and Nala; and many loving friends and family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Walker’s Funeral Home, 304 W. Center Street, Mebane. A celebration of Aeden’s life will be held on Saturday, November 8, at 1 p.m. at Daniels Chapel Baptist Church in Enfield, NC, followed by burial in the Solomon Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Give Kids the World, 210 South Bass Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34746 — a nonprofit that brings joy and hope to children with serious illnesses and their families, just as it did for Aeden.

“It is not the length of time we are given on this earth that matters, but the depth of love we share and the lives we touch along the way.”

Aeden’s time with us may have been brief, but the love he gave and the joy he brought will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
