Adam Michael Wade

Adam Michael Wade, 89, passed away of natural causes on August 3, 2026, at the UNC Medical Center in Hillsborough, North Carolina. He was born on July 7, 1937, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Adam Joseph Wyzykoski and Maryanna Barbara Glinski.

Adam attended West Haven High School and continued his education at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He later earned an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. A first-generation college graduate, Adam built a career as a mechanical engineer working in quality assurance. He was a member of the American Society for Quality and a Certified Quality Auditor.

Adam married Carol F. Wade on July 25, 1964. He was Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, boating, board games, working on home improvement projects, and teaching his grandchildren to play chess.

Adam is survived by his wife, Carol Wade; his brother, Robert Wade; his children, Sondra Amann, Kimberly Wade-Benzoni, and Adam J. Wade; and his grandchildren, Sarah Amann, David Amann, Nathan Benzoni, Isaiah Benzoni, Kevin Amann, Kira Amann, Adam D. Wade, Ignacio Benzoni, and Thomas Wade. He is also survived by his cousins, Richard Butler and Janice Potochney. He was predeceased by his parents, Adam Joseph Wyzykoski and Maryanna Barbara Glinski.

A funeral service will be held on August 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill, with Deacon Stephen Yates officiating, followed by interment.
